UPGRADE YOUR PENDANT INTERFACE
OPTIONAL PENDANT FOR HS & MP MODELS
Standard Calmotion Control
The 527F uses the standard 88, 88HS, MP and 32MP pendant. The wiring and harness assemblies are left undisturbed. Only the monitor needs to be replaced if not VGA-compatible.
Optional Pendant Face for HS and MP Machines
An optional pendant face that fits into the existing pendant enclosure is available for machines with the 88HS (shown here), or MP variants. It offers a variety of quick keys to improve operator efficiency during job set-up, program editing, and memory management.
Tray supplied as standard with all 527F purchases. Keyboard and mouse are not included.
USE A PC AS A MONITOR (STD)
As standard, the 527F now includes PC graphics hardware and software that connects to the pendant monitor for viewing control screens. This is not a PC control – it's simply replacing a graphics card with a PC to view 527F screens via Calmotion software. The PC is configured to auto boot to 527F screens on power up. 527F screens can be minimized, maximized and positioned on the monitor like any other PC software.
The PC_USB video kit includes a USB dongle that connects to a supplied NUC form factor computer mounted inside the pendant. 527F screen information streams via USB and is displayed on the pendant monitor. A metal tray that mounts underneath the pendant to support a customer supplied mouse and keyboard is also provided.
Mounting the metal tray and adding a keyboard and mouse are not required for CNC operation. This is an additional feature for customers who wish to take advantage of a PC at the machine.
Having a computer at the machine brings a host of possibilities, such as CAD/CAM programming at the machine, remote CNC viewing via TeamViewer/Google remote desktop, ability to check email, pulling files from anywhere on the network and placing them into the 527F memory... and is a nice way to perform program simulation using the software of your choice.
MP variant shown here. Keyboard and mouse not included.
THE CALMOTION ENHANCED KEYBOARD
SMART KEYS WITH SINGLE-BUTTON FUNCTION
The display section contains single button press access to all of the offset tables. It also is a quick way to navigate to the command prompt, MDI mode, editor mode and SETP parameter page. Alarm and diagnostic information can also be quickly accessed from here.
The functions section organizes quick keys to work with the utility screens in addition to commanding the tool changer for faster loading of tools. Several of the M functions are activated as quick keys for brake release as well as probe activation.
Job setup can be greatly simplified by taking advantage of the many tool and fixture offset quick keys. Both tool and fixture offsets are accessed with the quick keys in this section. This is especially helpful for new operators who may not have the offset commands memorized.
The Editor quick keys jump the screen to the different memory locations where G code files can be stored. Code modification is greatly simplified with single button presses for simple changes to a program. A renumber and search button are available. Note: The plot function is not compatible with the PC video configuration. Contact Calmotion if the legacy plot funtion is desired.
The cursor section decreases the amount of time and keystrokes to navigate the control. The standard keyboard navigation using the "U" and 'D" keys are still active, but these new keys move the cursor much more efficiently than is done in legacy mode.
